Sarah Jessica Parker paid a heartfelt and incredibly long homage to Carrie Bradshaw at the conclusion of the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That.
Just hours after showrunner Michael Patrick King announced that AJLT's third season would be the final one, Parker, 60, who has been playing the witty writer since 1998, moved fans to tears by sharing a video of iconic moments from the two television shows and two films.
The show will conclude with a two part finale, which also featues Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis reprising their SATC roles as Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York.
Fans of Sex and the City had long bemoaned the lack of Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones and criticised the HBO Max spin-off series as "woke," "awful," and "cringeworthy."
Critics referred to the show as "the worst show on television," while fans criticised the writers and the show itself, with some even claiming And Just Like That... had "ruined" the beloved characters from the original Sex and the City.
Following the news, Parker wrote a heartfelt 350-word Instagram farewell to her "professional heartbeat," Carrie, writing: "It seemed like we crossed streets, avenues, and Rubicons."
She starred in Sex and the City as Carrier Bradshaw. Jessica Parker also appears in its reboot, And Just Like That.
