David Beckham looks on the bright side of life after Brooklyn snub

David Beckham finally decided to look at the brighter side of things on his 51st birthday.

The former football star expresses gratitude to his kids and wife for their loving tributes and sweet messages as he turned 51 on May 2.

Later on Saturday, David took to Instagram and shares two pictures of himself blowing out his candles, one from childhood and the other one is the current one, as he thanked his “beautiful family” for spoiling him despite being shunned by his oldest son, Brooklyn.

“I feel very lucky & blessed to have had a very special day today being spoilt by my wife, kids, family and friends,” wrote the former Manchester United footballer.

He went on saying, “From the moment I opened my eyes till now and I just want to say thank you and I love you all so much @victoriabeckham & my beautiful family thank you.”

David’s wife Victoria could not stop herself from dropping five heart-shaped emojis in the comment section.

The football star’s son Romeo Beckham also showered his love with heart-shaped emoticons.

Meanwhile, David received love from his family and friends except his oldest son, who was seemingly silent on social media while his siblings were first one to share heartwarming posts on their father’s birthday.

David’s mother Sandra Beckham is likened to late Princess Diana

In the comment section, there were some fans of David who compared his mother Sandra to late Princess Diana.

“Omg your mom resembles princess Diana,” said one user, as her hairstyle in the picture sort of look similar to late Princess.

Another user quipped, “Is his maw princess Diana.”

“I see your Mum was a fan of Princess Diana back in the day,” added a third user.
