Charlize Theron recently took a bold stance on raising her children as a celebrity.
The Apex star opened up that she wanted to raise financially independent daughters, which is why she planned to instill strong work ethic in her kids from an early age.
During an appearance on Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, Charlize, who adopted her both daughters, stressed that financial independence would be essential for her kids.
“It’s too soon to kind of say where they’re going to end up… They just need to get a job that pays them because I don’t want to support them for the rest of life,” said the Atomic Blonde actress.
Charlize mentioned that her daughters have to earn it for any need, be it car or any other item.
Speaking to Jake, the Old Guard actress recalled her conversation with her daughter.
“I said to them, ‘your first car is going to be a Datsun because you’re going to crash it’”.
Charlize went on saying, “You’re a new driver. So, we’re not getting, like, the nice car up front. We need a little bit of experience, and we’re going to earn it.”
When asked if her daughters would have summer jobs, the Monster actress responded, “Yeah. Every time we go to Starbucks, I’m like, ‘Look at this... Do you see how friendly? You have to be that friendly every morning at 6 a.m., like start getting ready for it.'”
