Ashley Graham finally shares her candid perspective on the weight loss drugs and injections, as she reflects on body image issue.

The supermodel, who has been a body positive advocate over the years, talks about rising trend of GLP-1 drugs to lose weight.

In her latest interview with Marie Claire, Ashley admits, “It’s really disheartening.”

The model notes that there “was a pendulum that swung that was so body acceptance, positivity [and] everybody be who they want to be”.

However, Ashley explains that it’s “going back this whole opposite way that feels like a smack in the face to the women who have felt like they’ve had a voice”.

Meanwhile, the weight loss drugs like Ozempic, Mounjaro and Wegovy, would likely prove to be a trend but not a permanent fixture.

“It goes with the times and GLP-1s are a time,” remarks the model.

Nevertheless, Ashley opens up that there’s “gonna still be women who are considered plus-size forever”.

“This drug isn’t going to wipe out a whole statistic of women,” points out the 38-year-old.

Elsewhere in the interview, Ashley still believes that body positivity movement is going nowhere despite Ozempic craze.

“There’s so many plus size influencers and creators… They’re all over the place with their sizes and their proportions and how they look and how they’re relatable,” stated the model.

But the coolest part about all of this, according to Ashley, is “seeing these girls, who were raised on social media at such a young age, are now coming in and they have a platform to say to the younger generation, ‘Be yourself, be who you want to be’”.
