Charlize Theron shares unique approach to dating as a mother

Charlize Theron is quite clear in her mind when it comes to dating as a mother.

The South African actress, who is currently making headlines for unconventional promotional stint for Apex movie, reveals how her approach to dating is different after becoming a mother to two daughters.

Charlize admits that she’s no more interested to live with a romantic partner under one roof.

“I really mean this — people think I joke — I don't think I could ever live with somebody again,” says the 50-year-old during an appearance on Drew Barrymore’s eponymous show.

Charlize notes that she would “love” for him to be close, like buy the house down the street, but not in the same house.

The Atomic Blonde actress also reveals that her daughters are her big supporters when it comes to romance.

Reflecting on her dating life, Charlize points out that her kids have reached an age where they are more involved in my love life.

“It's really funny how I was scared they'd be threatened by it, and now they're like, ‘Mom, is he texting you? Like, go on the date, mom,’” mentions the Monster actress.

However, Charlize notes that she doesn’t vouch for a traditional living arrangement with a potential partner.

The Hancock actress notes that this thought could evolve over time because at present, her daughters live with her and maybe this will change when she is going to be an “empty nester”.

Meanwhile, Drew, who is also mother of two kids, and Charlize share same perspective that their “children come first and will always come first”.
