Jensen Ackles recently surprised his fans by revealing the first look at his costume from The Boys prequel, Vought Rising.
On August 14, the 47-year-old actor shared the news on his Instagram page. The picture showed Ackles' character, Soldier Boy, posing for a cover shoot in his dark green suit.
He humorously captioned the post, “He’s back. And this time…you better hide your Great-Grandmothers.”
Fans of the original series, The Boys, rushed to the comment section to express their excitement at the update. One fan wrote, “Let’s do thisssssss.” Another follower penned, “SO bloody excited for this!!!!”
Notably, Amazon Prime Video dropped the costumes of three other actors who joined the cast of the show: Mason Dye, Will Hochman and Elizebeth Posey.
Produced by Eric Kripke, Vought Rising is set in the 1950s and will follow the origins of Vought International and early exploits of Soldier Boy.
The Amazon MGM studio confirmed that the show production began in August, primarily in New York, which pushes it for a late 2026 release date.
Though, no further details have been made public by the producers, they have confirmed that the last season of The Boys has wrapped filming.
For the unversed, the show is expected to premiere in early 2026, which will mark two years since its fourth season.
