Margot Robbie to reprise her role in DC Studios?

Margot Robbie’s future as Harley Quinn remains uncertain as DC Studios undergoes a major creative shake-up under James Gunn.

The 35-year-old actress, who recently became a mother, has already captivated audiences in Suicide Squad (2016), Birds of Prey (2020) and The Suicide Squad (2021). 

Yet, her next appearance as the mischievous anti-heroine is still unknown.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gunn was asked if Robbie would return to the role.

“That will be revealed down the line,” he said, keeping fans guessing.

However, he hinted that another Suicide Squad favourite, Idris Elba’s Bloodsport, may feature in the evolving DC universe.

For those unfamiliar, the 59-year-old filmmaker is now the CEO and Co-Chairman of DC Studios.

Outside the superhero spotlight, the Focus actress has enjoyed a string of successes. 

Her role in Barbie made waves in 2023, earning critical acclaim and becoming a cultural phenomenon.

She is now in talks to star in Tim Burton’s remake of the sci-fi classic Attack of the Fifty Foot Woman, which she would also produce through her LuckyChap production company.

Meanwhile, she is set to produce and star in an Ocean’s prequel alongside her Barbie co-star Ryan Gosling.

Margot Robbie and her husband, film producer Tom Ackerley, recently welcomed a baby boy earlier this month.
