Alicia Silverstone dishes on reprising her role in ‘Clueless’ reboot

90s iconic actress Alicia Silverstone is reprising her momentous role as Cher Horowitz in a Clueless reboot by Peacock.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Silverstone opened up about rekindling her role after three decades.

“I can’t wait to step back into Cher’s skin and her fancy designer shoes that will be gently used, of course, duh, because she’s evolved,” she said. “This is 2025; she’s not wearing the new stuff unless it’s sustainable or vegan. We’ll have to see how far we can go with that.”

Revealing the development stage of the series, Silverstone said it’s still in the early stages.

“I’m obviously excited. I never thought that this was something I would ever do because I wouldn’t want to mess up this thing that we all love so much,” the Pretty Things star said.

Silverstone mentioned that the team will give their best to “honour the original movie.”

“That’s the goal, and I believe we will execute that goal,” the actress promised.

Inspired by Jane Austen’s 1815 novel Emma, Clueless follows Cher Horowitz, a fashionable and affluent teen navigating life and popularity at Beverly Hills’ Bronson Alcott High.
