Jason Momoa, widely known as Aquaman for playing the character in DC movie, revealed how he dodged death.

The Aquaman actor was exploring Pe'ahi, the biggest surf break in Maui, also known as Jaws, when he met a mishap.

The actor was paddling through Hawaiian waters in 2007 when his leg rope snapped in high wind.

According to the 46-year-old, he was fine at first despite the waves pushing him.

Speaking on the Smartless podcast, Jason said “I was doing this paddle, we went in at Jaws. We paddled like 13 miles down the coast.”

He said he was almost a mile offshore when his leash snapped. He was well-trained so he paddled through the 10-foot Hawaiian waves.

“There's all this water that pulls out and of a channel there, you just get hit with these waves”, he continued.

Jason said he got stuck and eventually his body gave up while he waited for rescuers to come for help.

“I was stuck in this crazy spot, which is probably the outer reef and unknown to me. I was really on the outer reef and they couldn't see me.”, he added.

The actor said there came a point where his body just stopped and he could move his arms anymore as his body bubbled down.

Fortunately, he was found by his surfer friends who rescued him on a board and brought him back to the shore.
