Jimmy Fallon has proven that he is a true swiftie, by attempting to decode Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl while also hinting at a probable Lady Gaga collaboration.
The upcoming album has already sparked speculation that it will contain multiple features from other pop icons, so the reference did not fall on deaf ears.
In a snippet, the host of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, notes, “Yesterday, on August 11th, the Instagram account Taylor Nation posted a carousel of 12 pics of Taylor and when they posted it, Taylor's website crashed at exactly 9:12 pm.”
He continues, ”But when you factor in that Taylor Nation first teased the album with a different post, also made at exactly 9:12 pm, now there's two 9:12s, which points to September 12th.”
Jimmy also states that during The Eras Tour, the Poker Face singer’s song Applause was second to last before the 14-time Grammy winner showed up on stage.
The comedian then tells fans that the song came out on August 12th, exactly 12 years prior, which is definitely a noteworthy connection.
Taylor Swift announced The Life of a Showgirl album during an appearance on her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s podcast, New Heights.
