Yungblud has been a huge fan of Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne who passed away on July 22 at the age of 76.
The young singer was also in attendance at Ozzy’s farewell show in Villa Park, less than three weeks before his passing.
Paying a heartfelt tribute to the late icon, Yungblud said he wants to keep his "spirit" and "energy" alive.
Talking to Sky News, the singer said “Ozzy is everything to me, always has been. And to be able to go on stage and honour my hero and sing that song to him, without knowing that they were his final days, was everything to me.”
“"I will try my best to keep that spirit and keep that energy alive.”
The 28-year-old star, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, also said he got to know Ozzy personally and he “loves” his family.
At many occasions the young artist has been compared to the legend which he has “found solace in being similar” to him.
The singer previously paid tribute to the late icon, who passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
“I grew up around rock music, and he was a character to me before I even knew anything about him.”
Ozzy was buried in his Buckinghamshire estate after a huge funeral procession carrying his body one last time around his hometown of Buckingham took place.
While performing in 1982, Ozzy bit the head of a bat thrown by a fan on stage.
