Ed Sheeran and Rupert Grint’s ginger look has seemingly confused Google after the English singer released his collaborative track and music video.

The new song A Little More features Rupert, who is reprising the role of Ed’s stalker that was originally introduced in Lego House 14 years ago.

To mark the new release, Google has a new update that was instantly pointed out by fans. 

To a viewer who is searching for Ed, suggestion shows the Harry Potter star’s name. The red text under the search bar reads: “Did you mean: Rupert Grint” and vice versa.

A fan account posted on X (formerly Twitter), admitting they were “absolutely obsessed” with the auto correcting update as a “promo for a little more.”

Another user applauded the Shape of You hitmaker’s team, calling them “brilliant,” while a third neitzen just discovered they’re “not the same person.”

However, a critic pointed out that “they’ve done this whole bit already,” insisting that the trick is “so old at this point.’

As this was done to celebrate the launch of the new track, someone noted that if “u can blend google to your will, u really ARE famous.”

Nevertheless, this is a smart move, considering the fact that this will increase the number of searches for the two stars' name.

It is to be noted that an individual or topic repeatedly searched can help increase their visibility to the viewers and so bring more traffic to their content.
