The Kelly Clarkson show’s viewers have been wondering about its fate ever since the host’s ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, passed away.

Earlier this year, rumours circulated about Kelly Clarkson’s absence from her show, which was later revealed to be due to Brandon’s ailing health. The producers kept the details under wraps to protect their privacy.

However, according to TMZ, the talk show will be renewed for a seventh season and is expected to return in September.

Netizens took to social media to support the 43-year-old singer in moving forward following the recent tragedy. One fan wrote, “I hope she continues to have more success.” Another well-wisher commented, “Ahhh, I’m so happy for Kelly!!!”

Notably, on August 6, the Stronger hitmaker posted on her Instagram story apologising to her fans for postponing the studio session in Los Angeles.

She wrote, “While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.”

A day later, on August 7, Brandon lost his battle with melanoma after three and a half years of fighting skin cancer.

For the unversed, Kelly Clarkson shares two children with her former partner: an 11-year-old daughter named River Rose and a 9-year-old son, Remington Alexander.
