Beyoncé’s father, Matthew Knowles, has spoken out after a major security breach involving the singer’s unreleased music.
Speaking on The Don Lemon Show, Knowles, who once managed Beyoncé’s career, expressed frustration.
He said, “Her choreographer should be glad I’m not still managing her—he’d be in hot water!”
“Why did he even have the hard drive, and why wasn’t it properly secured?”
The incident occurred during her four-night residency at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, part of her Cowboy Carter tour.
The 43-year-old star faced a serious setback after hard drives containing unreleased songs and confidential tour material were stolen from a rental vehicle used by her team.
The theft happened on 8 July when choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue parked a Jeep Wagoneer around 8pm.
When they returned an hour later, the boot had been forced open and two suitcases were gone.
Reports stated the stolen items included watermarked music files, show plans, future setlists, and other personal belongings such as laptops, headphones, and clothing.
Atlanta police confirmed they had found fingerprints and security footage from the scene.
Apple’s Find My feature also helped track some of the stolen tech, and an arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect.
While some devices were recovered, the yet-to-be-released tracks have not been found.
Beyoncé has not yet made a public statement regarding the incident.
