The world of metal rock went into mourning when the Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne passed away at the age of 76.
The Black Sabbath frontman was surrounded by his family when he breathed his last in his home in Buckinghamshire on the morning of July 22.
Ozzy’s funeral was a grand affair attened by thousands of fans in his home town of Birmingham.
For years Ozzy battled with Parkinson’s disease which he was diagnosed with in 2003 but it was revealed much later in 2020.
Now the cause of death of the rock icon has been revealed.
As per the death certificate filed by his daughter Aimee Osbourne at a registry in London, the music iicon passed away from a heart attack, confirmed by The New York Times.
Ozzy passed away only few days after he performed on his farewell show with his band.
While Ozzy’s life was marred with drug abuse and alcholol addiction, he carried on with career and even survived a brutal fall in a quad bike accident in 2003.
A shocking revelation made about Ozzy's gene makeup was that he had a rare variation near the ADH4 gene which helped his body metabolize alcohol more efficiently than the average person.
While performing in 1982, Ozzy bit the head of a bat thrown by a fan on stage.
