Chris Pratt gives rare details about parenting with Katherine Schwarzenegger

Chris Pratt, who rose to fame from his record breaking performances in the movies such as Jurassic World and the Lego Movie, opened up about the reason behind his unique parenting style.

Recently, in a candid discussion, Pratt revealed that he has a very “sensitive” parenting approach.

On August 4, 2025, speaking to the host of Today, the Guardians of the Galaxy actor shared, “My style is very heavily influenced by how I was raised. I was a very sensitive kid, but my dad was very tough and very strict.”

“So, I tend to be a little more mindful of the sensitivity in kids. So, I’m not as tough and I’m not as strict,” he continued.

In contrast, he further mentioned that his wife Katherine, with whom he tied the knot on June 8, 2019, has a parenting approach that is more of a "rule enforcer" compared to his.

However, the 46-year-old American actor admitted that, due to their different approaches, they have a "nice balance" at their home.

Notably, the couple share two daughters, Lyla and Eloise, and a son, Ford, while Pratt is also the father of a son, Jack, whom he shares with his ex-wife Anna Faris.
