‘Devil Wears Prada 2’: Simone Ashley, Meryl Streep film in stunning gowns

Simone Ashley was spotted by paparazzi and fans alike in New York City shooting scenes for the highly anticipated Devil Wears Prada 2.

Accompanying the 30-year-old actress were Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci, dressed to the nines for the filming.

As per Daily Mail, the pictures show the Bridgerton actress smiling as she donned a casual outfit: a red t-shirt, short black leggings, and cat-eye sunglasses. Ashley appeared to be talking to Streep and Tucci.

In the second photo, which was shot outside the Museum of Natural History, the F1 star was seen walking down the steps, glowing in a black fitted dress. Following behind her was the iconic Miranda Prestley in a red ball gown.

Notably, Simone Ashley is the first new addition spotted in the cast of the sequel, after Emily Blunt was seen walking outside the office in a chic suit, confirming her reprisal role of Emily Charlton.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 will continue with Miranda Prestley, played by Meryl Streep, as she struggles against Emily Charlton, who turns into a rival executive. The duo competes for the advertising revenue while Prestley nears retirement.

Filming for the movie was first captured by New Yorkers when an area of Manhattan was shut down for production on June 30.

Notably, the release of the film in 2026 will mark 20 years since the first installment was dropped in 2006.

For the unversed, The Devil Wears Prada was nominated for 2 Academy Awards, in which Meryl Streep won Best Actress.
