Peaky Blinders, the multiple National Television Award winning series reportedly has an association with the next James Bond movie.
The show’s creator Steven Knight has been asked by the Dune 3 director Denis Villeneuve, to write the script for the highly anticipated project.
In terms of writing, the British screenwriter has contributed to critically acclaimed dramas such as Dirty Pretty Things and Locke and Spencer.
The director stated soon after his helming of the project was officially announced, that “I intend to honour the tradition and open the path for many new missions to come.”
He continued, “This is a massive responsibility, but also, incredibly exciting for me and a huge honour.”
Since Amazon MGM studious gained control over the series, they have been in search of the perfect team overseeing the beloved franchise.
The production for the 007 film has been confirmed as Amy Pascal and David Heyman with Pascal Pictures and Heyday Films respectively, and Tanya Lapointe being selected as the executive producer.
As the expected release year for the new addition to the series is 2028, the studio has been eagerly putting together the collaborators for the project.
