Prince Harry may be retracing the footsteps of his late mother, Princess Diana, but a royal insider has just exposed a stark and “scathing” contrast between the two, especially when it comes to telling their side of the story.
A royal expert has now pointed out that not everything about their paths aligns, particularly when it comes to their explosive tell-all books.
Both Diana and Harry famously sought to tell their “truth” outside the palace walls.
In Diana’s case, she secretly collaborated with journalist Andrew Morton for Diana: Her True Story, while Harry went all-in with his 2023 memoir Spare, a bombshell release that rocked the royal family and reportedly deepened the rift between him and his brother Prince William.
But here’s the catch: according to royal expert Robert Jobson, Diana never cashed in on her story, unlike her son.
“She didn’t monetise it for herself,” Jobson revealed on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show. “He [Harry] made a fortune out of it.”
Jobson’s sharp commentary draws attention to what some see as a key moral divide.
While Diana’s revelations were framed as a desperate cry for help from within the palace walls, Harry’s multi-million-pound book deal (reportedly worth around £22 million) has been criticized as a commercial endeavour, one that came at a steep emotional cost.
