Prince Harry might be seeking forgiveness, but two royals aren’t ready to let bygones be bygones.
Despite recent efforts to reconcile with the royal family, including behind-the-scenes meetings between his aides and those of King Charles, insiders say Prince William and Queen Camilla have no intention of forgiving the Duke of Sussex for what they see as deeply personal betrayals.
According to royal author Robert Jobson, Harry's bridge-burning bombshells, especially in his 2023 memoir Spare, cut too deep.
“He’s asking for forgiveness,” Jobson told The Sun. “Well, I think his father probably will in the long term. But I just don’t see William and Camilla doing it.”
In Spare, Harry didn’t hold back. Camilla was name-dropped over 60 times and branded “the Other Woman,” accused of leaking stories to the press and sacrificing Harry on her “personal PR altar.”
He even questioned whether she would become his and William’s “wicked stepmother.”
William didn’t escape unscathed either. Harry described years of sibling tension, even accusing his older brother of physically attacking him during a heated altercation.
The expert also drew a sharp contrast between Harry’s tell-all and his late mother Princess Diana’s biography Her True Story, noting: “She didn’t monetise it for herself. He made a fortune out of it.”
In a recent BBC interview, Harry himself acknowledged the damage done. “Some members of my family will never forgive me,” he said, before adding hopefully: “It would be nice to have that reconciliation part now. If they don’t want that, that’s entirely up to them.”
