Adam Sandler gushes over work with his wife in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’

Adam Sandler attended the N.Y.C. premiere of Happy Gilmore 2 where he spoke to People about what it’s like to work with his wife.

The pair initially met on the set of the film Big Daddy in 1999 and ended up tying the knot in 2003.

He explained that even though he and his wife, Jackie, aren’t love interests in the new film, their chemistry is still present, “My wife and I have a nice, when we make eye contact, we lock in, so we use that when we're acting. Sometimes it looks a little weird that we're falling in love and it doesn't make sense to our characters. But we do have a nice attraction for each other…”

Their daughters Sadie, 19, and Sunny, 16 have also joined him in the movie, about which he remarked, “You're pulling for 'em while you're working with them ... My kids couldn't be prouder of whatever they're working and going after whatever they want. I'm just always pulling for them, like every parent.”

In a previous interview with E! News, he said about them joining the movie, "Oh my god, you're just relieved. Once they do it well, nothing feels better as a parent. It must be like when you're the parents of a baseball player and you're at the game and they get a hit. You just go, 'Thank god.' It's just so much relief."
