The cast and creators behind The Toxic Avenger spoke about the upcoming movie at the San Diego Comic-Con 2025.
Stars Peter Dinklage, Elijah Wood, Jacob Tremblay and Taylour Paige dropped key details about the gory project.
About the relevance of the movie, Dinklage said, “Environmental concerns are an ongoing thing, now more than ever. The great way to get into that is through satire, through the backdoor, through humor.”
Being a huge fan of the creator, he added, “This just felt so perfect and necessary and needed.”
Wood spoke about playing the seemingly villainous Fritz, explaining, “There’s a beating heart in there. I love the horror genre because of the possibilities. This movie is filled to the brim with ideas, and fun and playing with the medium.”
“A janitor becomes a social outcast when a freak accident at a chemical factory turns him into a mutant. However, he soon uses his newfound superhuman strength to battle slimy criminals and a corrupt CEO,” reads the synopsis of the film.
On her part in the film, Paige said shortly, “That I’m in it,” before explaining that she is “three months postpartum... I can’t put sentences together.”
