Wednesday, the blockbuster series that showcases Jenna Ortega’s psychic abilities, is set to haunt streamers once again with a second season, and Netflix has already confirmed a third.

The announcement of Season 3 comes ahead of the Season 2 debut on August 6.

“Television has, and always will be, a team sport,” said co-creator and showrunner Alfred Gough in a statement. “[Co-creator and co-showrunner] Miles [Millar] and I have been doing this long enough to know that shows like this don’t come along every day. It’s such an alchemy of writing, directing, acting, crew, streamer, studio, and fans.”

Gough added that they’re thrilled to continue the Nevermore journey and grateful for the chance to further explore its stories.

Wednesday’s first season remains the most-viewed English-language series on Netflix of all time.

Season 2 is set to embrace even more haunting themes and, as Gough promises, it’ll be “funnier as well.”

However, the third season is expected to take things to another level, with the showrunners revealing their ambitious goals.

“Our goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can,” said Gough.

Meanwhile, Millar added, “We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.”

The co-creator even teased what’s coming next for the Addams Family.

“We will be seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!” Millar hinted.
