Wednesday showrunners recently spilt beans on a potential spin-off after announcing a third season.

In conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Alfred Gough and Bela Bajaria hinted at expanding the gothic fantasy show with another character.

"It’s something we’re definitely noodling; there are other characters we can look at," Gough said.

The spin-off is in early discussions, which means no details about the plot or cast have been revealed yet.

For the unversed, season 1 of the popular Netflix series ended with Wednesday saving Nevermore Academy and heading back home for summer break. Xavier gifts her a phone on which she receives her first text from an unknown number threatening to kill her.

A month ago, the streaming giant released a 6-minute clip from the first episode of season 2, where Wednesday is back for another semester to hunt for her stalker while learning more about her psychic powers.

Currently, the cast is preparing for the premiere of season 2, which will be released in two parts, on August 6 and September 3, with the leads reprising their role.

Produced by Tim Burton, Wednesday stars Jenna Ortega playing the lead role of the eldest daughter of the Addams Family, alongside Emma Myers (Enid), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia), Victor Dorobantu (Thing) and Luis Guzmán (Gomez).

The second season consisted of eight episodes, and Burton has promised the new season will give fans a more iconic take on Wednesday’s character.
