American-Ghanaian singer Stevie Wonder, who is notable for bringing a new wave in music industry, gushed about late Malcolm-Jamal Warner.
On Monday, Warner faced a tragic death after drowning in the Costa Rican beach.
Several notable figures mourned the demise of the Jesus Children hitmaker, including legendary musician Stevie.
In an interview with TMZ, he shared an important message for the musicians he learnt from The Cosby Show star
While speaking to the outlet, he stressed the deceased star's commitment to tell “the story, the truth.”
Wonder stressed the significance of maintaining truth as “we have so many in high places telling low-down lies.”
“We need the truth,” he added.
Following the devastating loss, the Overjoyed crooner is hoping that the musicians “will begin to spread messages of positivity, of hope” to help this world move forward.
However, the Superstition hitmaker admitted that the sad passing left him devastated as his “heart is hurting.”
The music icon maintained: “I miss [Malcolm-Jamal Warner].”
Warner was vacationing with his family in Costa Rica when he died after tragically drowning. The singer’s cause of death was confirmed to be asphyxia by the National Police.
