Joseph Quinn, who stars as Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, recalled the love he and the Fantastic Four cast received while filming Avengers: Doomsday.

The MCU’s latest release features Quinn, Pedro Pascal, who plays scientist Reed Richards, aka Mr. Fantastic; Vanessa Kirby, who portrays Reed’s wife with invisibility powers, Sue Storm; and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who plays the powerful rock-like hero, The Thing.

These cast members are expected to appear in the highly anticipated and currently in-production Avengers: Doomsday.

Ahead of the release, Quinn told PEOPLE that the four of them have "been spending quite a lot of time with some cast members in that film."

Stranger Things breakout star Joseph Quinn added that the "veterans have been giving us very sage advice and giving us their time.”

However, one fellow Marvel star left a remarkable impression on Quinn: Robert Downey Jr., who originally played Tony Stark/Iron Man and is set to return as the villainous Doctor Doom in Doomsday.

"He's an amazing leader. He's so generous. He's hilarious," Quinn said about Robert. "And he's a remarkable actor. There's no shock as to why he is where he is.”

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is now in theatres, while Avengers: Doomsday is one of several Avengers projects currently in the works.
