Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s $100 million Netflix deal may be on life support, but insiders claim the streaming giant isn’t letting go of Meghan Markle just yet.
Despite lackluster viewership numbers and no breakout hits, Netflix is reportedly doubling down on its relationship with the Duchess of Sussex.
Their flagship show With Love, Meghan failed to break into Netflix’s Top 300 shows of 2025, and Prince Harry’s polo docu-series barely registered with audiences.
Yet, a second season of With Love, Meghan is already in the works, raising questions about what Netflix sees in the royal couple’s brand.
Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told Sky News that the platform may be playing the long game.
“Theories around holding onto Meghan Markle… are that Netflix wants to be the outlet she turns to if and when things fall apart with Prince Harry,” she said.
“They want the exclusive. That’s why they continue to nurture that relationship.”
“The return on investment just isn’t there,” Schofield added. “Prince Harry’s polo show was well into the three-thousands. Absolutely no one was watching.”
