Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt recently revealed that they were going to be parents, and now the Saturday Night Live alum is discussing what fatherhood means to him.
The comedian, who surprised the world with the reveal, has actually been excited to take on fatherhood for a long time.
At the New York City premiere of his movie, The Home, the comedian stated to E! News, "Everybody's just been super excited for me, because they know it's been my dream.”
Davidson also noted that he was anticipating “being able to take care of something and show it the childhood I didn’t have."
The Bodies Bodies Bodies star had a troubled childhood, which he plans on shielding his child from, to give them everything he didn’t have.
Elsewhere in the interview the 31-year-old disclosed that he had received some great advice from Adam Sandler, who was super excited from him, as were his fans.
Davidson expressed that he wants people to be excited for him whenever he does anything, but especially as he takes on this more personal role in his life.
The Bupkis actor revealed that he finds it is really nice that people are supportive of him following the major announcement.
