Alice Cooper honours Ozzy Osbourne with emotional on-stage tribute

Alice Cooper paid a heartfelt tribute to rock icon Ozzy Osbourne during his live show in Cardiff on Tuesday.

Ozzy, known as the “Prince of Darkness,” died the age of 76 surrounded by family.

Taking to the stage in Wales, Cooper, 77, honoured his long-time friend and fellow rocker by dedicating the entire performance to him.

Addressing the audience, he said, “Even though everybody saw it coming with Ozzy, it just took our breath away when it happened.”

He went on to praise the Black Sabbath front man’s contribution to music, describing him as a one-of-a-kind artist.

“We're gonna miss you, man,” he added, visibly emotional.

Following the show, the rock icon shared a touching tribute on Instagram.

He remembered Ozzy not only as a dark and powerful stage figure but also as someone with a warm and playful spirit behind the scenes.

“He was a mix of the Prince of Darkness and the court jester,” Cooper wrote. “That was the side only his loved ones truly knew—the laughter, the warmth, the heart.”

The legendary performer closed the message on behalf of his band and crew, writing; “Rest easy, Ozzy. You left your mark, and we’ll see you on the other side.”

The legendary musician’s death marked the end of an era for rock 'n' roll, sending shockwaves across the music world.
