Jason Kelce abandons wife, Kylie behind in ocean after seeing Shark

NFL’s beloved star Jason Kelce revealed that he left his wife, Kylie Kelce, in the ocean when he spotted a shark, but he admitted that he wouldn’t have done it if Kylie were in danger.

On Wednesday, July 23, in an episode of his New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce podcast, Jason explained the incident of leaving his wife in the ocean.

During the brothers’ conversation about the 1990 classic Pretty Woman, the six-time Pro Bowler recalled the incident.

“Dude, I left Kylie in the ocean because of the sharks,” he admitted. “I don't know if I'm as good as Edward is, apparently. ... I'll tell you what, though: If I actually thought she was in danger, I wouldn't make that [choice]."

Jason explained that he was terrified, but he didn’t take it as a real danger.

“That’s the difference,” he said. “I just started getting worried about the sharks. I didn’t think she was actually in danger. Otherwise, if Kylie fell into shark-infested water, I would jump in."

The retired NFL star added, “I f---ing guarantee you. She was away from the shark. The shark was all the way over here."

“It was in a completely different vicinity of this water. I’m just letting you know,” Jason went on, justifying.

“Shark was already close enough to you to where you got out of it,” said Travis, 35, with a laugh, to which his brother replied, “She was way behind me. I promise you."

“Only Kylie has to believe you. Just remember that: Only she has to believe you,” Travis teased.
