Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt’s whirlwind romance took an unexpected turn when the new couple broke the internet with a pregnancy announcement.
The model had casually dropped the news in a photo dump with the Saturday Night Live alum, with a few ultrasound pictures and a few cheeky jokes on July 16.
However, an insider has revealed to Us Weekly, that the baby might have been a surprise to the parents, just as it was to the internet.
"Pete and Elsie definitely weren’t planning on starting a family but are over the moon about it. They are so excited,” a source told the outlet.
They also commented on the pair’s dynamic, stating that the two have a very lighthearted relationship, and that things are going well between the pair.
“This has brought them even closer. It’s a healthy relationship for Pete,” the insider detailed.
The source also opened up about how this was the perfect timing for The King Of Staten Island star, since he is in a much better place now than he was before.
It is important to note that Pete has previously disclosed that he wanted to be a father, and was looking forward to that chapter in his life.
Although The Suicide Squad actor initially kept his relationship away from the spotlight, he stated that dating his new flame is very “different” from his past experiences.
