Teddi Mellencamp has issued a joint statement with estranged husband Edwin Arroyave, giving an update about their family after a series of terrifying incidents in the area.

The pair, who has filed for divorce was in their home in Enico with their three children Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, five, when the incident occurred.

In a joint statement on Instagram, the exes stated, “We are grateful that everyone is unharmed. While we are shaken, we are fortunate to have the latest in home security systems which scared off the intruders.”

They continued, “Authorities were alerted and swiftly responded. We appreciate everyone’s heightened concern in light of recent criminal activities in our area, but we are safe.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum had reported the occurrence to the Los Angeles Police Department, who had confirmed in a statement on July 21 that the suspects had fled from the location upon their arrival.

In the statement, the authorities revealed that a report for burglary had been taken into account and that the two suspects wore black hoodies.

Meanwhile, only a few days prior American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca were found dead in their homes with gunshot wounds in the same neighborhood.
