Justin Baldoni, who is being sued for sexual harassment by his co-star Blake Lively, and his company ended up in another lawsuit.
After the 41-year-old faced a setback following his defamation suit being dismissed, Justin lost another support amid the ongoing case.
The insurance firm filed a case against the director and his company Wayfarer, claiming that their policies will not accommodate allegations by the Gossip Girls alum.
According to the documents submitted by Harco National Insurance Company, the claims were made before the two policies were signed.
The suit declared that the insurance company will not cover the legal fee for the production or its members as Blake’s claims were not known to them.
This new lawsuit has further complicated the legal battle which began after the Betty Buzz owner sued the filmmaker for sexual harassment.
Previously, the location of the deposition was changed after the actress’ team complained about potential harassment by paparazzi.
The date was also changed as the proceedings were pushed back by two weeks after a social media guru was removed from the suit.
Earlier, Justin’s retaliatory suit against the Another Simple Favor actress and her husband Ryan Reynolds was dismissed.
The court ruling, declaring the $400 million defamation case lacks evidence of alleged defamation, was called a “total victory” for Blake.
