Justin Baldoni’s former collaborator shows support after legal snub

The Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively drama has just encountered another commentator, with director James Brolin remarking on the legal battle.

The Hotel actor had directed the 2011 short film, Royal Reunion, starring the It Ends With Us actor, which the 84-year-old reflected on, while praising the 41-year-old for his successes.

In an interview with People, the My Brother’s War director stated, “"I'm so proud of Justin Baldoni because God, he's written two wonderful books on being a man and being courteous and teaching boys not to fear their fears — and now he's directed three movies.”

The Jane the Virgin star’s progress earned further praise from the two-time Golden Globe award winner.

After being asked about Justin’s current legal dilemma with the Gossip Girl alum, James had a short response.

"I don't understand what's going on right now, but I hope it works out," he noted.

In recent events, the Clouds director has just been hit with the judge’s ruling that Blake can be deposed at her attorney’s office, despite Justin’s legal team’s protests.

The legal back and forth began after the Betty Buzz owner felt uncomfortable while sharing screen with the filmmaker in It Ends With Us. She took her complaint to the court by filing a sexual harassment case against Justin.
