Blake Lively, who is suing Justin Baldoni for sexual harassment, remained victorious during her ongoing legal battle with her director.
Although the filmmaker’s legal team slammed the actress for her unacceptable attitude, the 37-year-old actress was granted what she filed for.
According to Variety, the Gossip Girl alum succeeded in achieving a disposition at her desired location.
Her lawyers argued in the documents that the director’s attorneys were attempting to publicise the proceeding.
While Justin’s team were hoping to hold the disposition at the Park Avenue offices of Meister Seeling & Fein, Blake’s attorneys heavily contested the idea.
According to the plaintiff’s lawyers, the suggested location by Justin’s team would be harmful for the actress with a possibility of facing harassment by paparazzi.
They feared that the filmmaker would bring out social media influencers at the legal proceedings, which is supposed to be held privately.
However, the Jane the Virgin actor accused her of using her “celebrity status” to gain control over the case.
This came after a New York judge dismissed the Five Feet Apart director’s $400 million lawsuit against the Betty Buzz owner and her husband Ryan Reynolds.
In his complaint, the actor accused the Hollywood A-lister couple of introducing changes in the script of the romantic drama.
The defamation suit was filed in response to Blake's initial case against the 41-year-old, alleging that the later sexually harassed heron set of It Ends With Us.
