King Charles celebrated his sister Princess Anne's special milestone by recognising her "duty and devotion."
On July 18, a joint post made by the royal family and the Royal Mint unveiled a coin to mark the Princess Royal's 75th birthday, which is on August 15.
It is important to note that the monarch took a historic decision for Zara Tindall's mother, who featured in the first ever official UK coin in a bid to honour her "remarkable lifetime of service" as an active member of the royal family.
"The Princess Royal – Celebrating 75 Years – Duty and Devotion" is inscribed on the coin.
The message alongside the coin photo reads, "Join us as we celebrate Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal as she marks her milestone 75th birthday with the first UK coin made in her honour...
The coin showcased Princess Anne's "official Coat of Arms and an official portrait taken by John Swannell."
According to the Mirror, Rebecca Morgan, director of commemorative coin at the Royal Mint, said, "For the first time in British numismatic history, we are honoured to celebrate the Princess Royal on an official UK coin."
She added, "Her Royal Highness’s unwavering commitment to public service, charitable work, and support of His Majesty’s armed forces over seven and a half decades makes her truly deserving of this tribute."
