Prince William, Kate give birthday shout-out to Queen Camilla

Prince William and Kate Middleton marked Queen Camilla’s 78th birthday today with a touching gesture on social media, and fans are loving it.

The royal couple took to their Instagram Stories to share the royal family’s official post celebrating Camilla’s birthday. 

The post included a beautiful new portrait of the Queen Consort leaning on a garden gate at her private Raymill estate in Wiltshire, snapped by longtime royal photographer Chris Jackson.

The Waleses kept their tribute simple but sweet, writing above the photo: “Happy birthday To Her Majesty!”, complete with an adorable cake emoji.

While Queen Camilla’s celebrations are expected to remain private today, she was gifted a very unusual present just yesterday during an engagement at HMS Drake in Devon, where she officially became Lady Sponsor of HMS Astute.

The quirky gift? A roll of cling film on a wooden stand, an inside joke with the crew. Camilla reportedly laughed and said: “There’s nothing more useful, brilliant how wonderful.”

As for today’s celebrations, it’s believed Camilla will be spending the day with close family, possibly including her husband, King Charles, lthough details remain under wraps.

The royal family also posted another candid photo of Camilla enjoying a quiet moment reading in the garden, thanking well-wishers for their messages: “Thank you for the wonderful well wishes on Her Majesty’s 78th birthday today!”
