HBO has unveiled the first look of the highly anticipated Harry Potter television adaptation. Cameras have officially begun rolling on the reimagining of J.K. Rowling’s book series.
The first glimpse offers a sneak peek of the new character of Harry Potter as Dominic McLaughlin.
The 11-year-old boy can be seen wearing the character's classic round glasses and Hogwarts school robes. He'll be joined by Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, completing the iconic trio.
However, the executive producers Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod had introduced the trio in May, “The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen.”
“We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It’s been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there,” he further added.

In addition, filming is underway at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the U.K., with the expected release date in 2027 on HBO Max.

Rowling's seven books, with each book getting its own season. This series aims for a more in-depth exploration of the story and characters than the previous film series.
