Emily in Paris is set to shoot in Venice for upcoming season 5 after twirling through Paris and Rome.

According to Luca Zaia, the governor of Veneto region, the Netflix show will shoot in the lagoon city between August 5-15.

Zaia issued a statement: “This is extraordinary news, confirming how our region is increasingly attractive for major global audio visual productions.”

The governor further revealed that Emily in Paris director Andrew Fleming is on hunt, searching suitable locations with the assistance of the Northern Italian region’s Veneto Film Commission and Venice-based production company 360 Degrees Film.

The filming of season 5 started in May in Rome and returned to the French capital in June.

The news of starting the shooting of a rom-com series in Venice came on the heels of the extravagant wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former broadcast journalist Lauren Sanchez.

The story of the upcoming season picks up from season 4 as Emily settles into her apartment in Rome to run Agence Grateau’s Italian office and spend time with her beau Marcello, the charming heir of a family-owned cashmere company.

However, the plot details of season 5 are still under wraps.

Season 5 is executive produced by Tony Hernandez, Andrew Fleming, Stephan Brown, Alison Brown, Lilly Burns, Robin Schiff, and Joe Murphy.

The series is the production of MTV Entertainment Studios, Darren Star Productions and Jax Media.

When will Emily in Paris season 5 be released?

According to the official announcement, no release date of upcoming season has been announced yet.
