Meghan Markle fears Prince Archie will romanticize royal life in UK

Meghan Markle is reportedly concerned that her son Prince Archie may grow up idealizing Britain and the royal family, according to a royal expert.

Although Archie was born in the UK, he has spent most of his life in California after his parents, Prince Harry and Meghan, stepped back from royal duties in 2020.

Royal author Tom Quinn told The Mirror that Meghan fears Britain could become a “longed-for fantasy” for Archie, especially as he grows more curious about his heritage. “Archie loves the idea that his grandad lives in a castle,” said Quinn.

“Meghan was worried a lavish gift from King Charles would only increase Archie’s fascination with royal life.”

Reports suggest Meghan has encouraged simpler gifts to avoid fuelling Archie’s imagination about life in the UK.

Archie, now six, and his sister Lilibet, four, haven’t visited Britain since 2022, largely due to Harry’s security concerns.

Despite holding royal titles, the children have had limited exposure to their extended royal family.

Harry has stated he cannot safely bring his family to the UK following the downgrading of his taxpayer-funded security.

For now, the Sussexes are raising their children far from palace walls in Montecito, California.
