Jay-Z embroiled in another disturbing lawsuit
The music mogul attempts to distance himself after his record label is mentioned in assault case
Jay-Z finds himself in hot water again as he has been associated with another controversial figure.
The rapper’s record label is mentioned in a $20 million lawsuit brought forward by Fat Joe’s former hypeman.
Last week, Terrance “T.A.” Dixon accused his ex-employer of “coercive labor exploitation” and “sexual manipulation.”
According to the court documents filed in U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York, Joe also engaged in inappropriate relationships with multiple minors in “exchange for cash, clothing, and cell phone bills.”
The filing further alleges that Roc Nation, which signed Joe to an exclusive deal, harassed and intimidated Dixon to obstruct his lawsuit.
According to Billboard, the music company is trying to distance itself from the controversy by taking legal action.
The outlet exclusively reported on Monday that Roc Nation has filed a petition to claim that it only served as Joe's management company and the racketeering accusations are baseless.
What other controversies has Jay-Z been recently involved in?
In late 2024, Jay-Z was accused of sexually assaulting a minor in 2000. However, the plaintiff later dropped the case and admitted to making false claims.
The rapper and his wife, Beyoncé, have also been associated with Sean “Diddy” Combs and are rumoured to have attended his infamous parties.
