Seems like Jay-Z has moved on from his old friend and collaborator and does not even want to utter his name.
The music mogul surprised everyone after appearing at his wife Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour concert in Paris.
Jay-Z performed several of his hit tracks from back in the day but one song that caught everyone’s attention was 2011’s Ni**as in Paris.
The track was written by the New Yorker and Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, for their collaborative album Watch the Throne and contains multiple mentions of “Ye”.
However, Jay-Z noticeably omitted any reference to the Donda hitmaker from his aforementioned performance over the weekend.
The intentional omission suggests that the 55-year-old has just had enough of Ye’s shenanigans, especially after he targeted his family.
Back in March, the 48-year-old made a controversial post on X, formerly Twitter, where he suggested that Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s children have mental disabilities.
In an interview with DJ Akademiks, Ye lashed out at Jay-Z and Beyoncé by saying, “I was having problems with my kids. You [Jay-Z and Beyoncé] could’ve used your influence.”
"Everything is like, 'But you offended Jay-Z.’ F*** him," the troubled rapper said before claiming that the Roc Nation founder is making more profit off his catalogue than himself.
