Brad Pitt stunned his fans with a very personal confession about nicotine usage and smoking.

The Academy Award winner and producer appeared at Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast and candidly shared his opinion about different aspects of his life.

As soon as the 61-year-old actor entered the studio for the podcast, the host told him, “I’ve put nicotine products next to you in case you are wanting.”

The 2-time Oscar winner actor immediately replied, “No. I am long. I am done.”

Dax appeared shocked by Pitt’s answer and asked, “You’re done. For how long?”

Brad revealed that he quit 30-years of smoking and it’s been a couple of years since he went completely nicotine free, “I just figured that I have had enough of it.”

To the host’s argument that nicotine is really good for the brain, the actor questioned, “Is it?” Dax’s co-host, Monica Padman, chimed in, saying, “That’s what he likes to say.”

How many people die of smoking every year in USA?

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), nearly 480,000 people die of smoking each year in the USA. Nicotine is highly addictive and dangerous and if overused, it can cause hardening of arterial walls which in turn leads to heart attack and may prove fatal.
