Meghan Markle is reportedly doubling down on her version of modern royalty, despite a sharp drop in public support.
According to royal biographer Penny Junor, the Duchess of Sussex is ignoring advice and pushing forward because she “always thinks she knows best”, even as her popularity in the UK plummets to just 20 percent, according to a recent poll.
Writing in Sky News Australia, Junor claimed Meghan routinely dismisses outside input and that Prince Harry “only listens to her.”
The couple, she says, are attempting to build a “cheap knock-off” of the Royal Family from their Montecito base, complete with personal staff and PR teams, but the setup “is doomed to fail.”
Junor also warned that Harry appears increasingly isolated, suggesting Meghan’s strong influence may be a factor.
With ongoing tension between the Sussexes and the press, and a string of controversies surrounding their brand, experts are questioning how long their so-called royal court in California can survive.
