Barbadian singer Rihanna’s father passes away at the age of 70
Rihanna, who shares two children with A$AP Rocky, suffered a major loss after her father passed away at the age of 70 on May 31, 2025.
On May 28, the 37-year-old singer and her brother Rajad Fenty were reportedly seen arriving at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre.
The news was first reported by Starcom Network, confirming Ronald’s death in Los Angeles. However, the date and the official cause has not been announced yet.
According to the outlet, the departed soul breathed his last after suffering from a “brief illness.”
Ronald and Monica Braithwaite were blessed with Rihanna in February 1988.
The R&B star’s father leaves behind Rajad, Rorrey and three children from his previous relationships: daughters Samantha, Kandy and son Jamie.

The songstress has been vocal about her father’s struggle with alcohol addiction and its impact on her early stages of life.
