Kanye West is proving to be a loyal friend of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs as he has consistently supported the fellow rapper before disapproving of Kid Cudi’s sensational testimony.
The Pursuit of Happiness rapper took the stand against the I’ll Be Missing You singer on May 22, to give insight into his relationship with Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, which ended soon after the 55-year-old found out about it.
The Me & U crooner had also stated that the disgraced record producer got upset over the affair and even threatened to blow up the Trap actor's car.
Cudi, whose legal name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, stated during the trial that he believed that Diddy was lying when he claimed to have nothing to do with his car suddenly bursting into flames back in 2012.
The alleged account seemed to upset West, who spoke up on the matter on May 24 on X (formerly twitter).
“I wish Cudi hadn’t testified against Puff, we need to not be locked in white systems. Praying for Puff and his family, praying for Puff Daddy and the Family,” the father of four wrote.
The Heartless rapper has been vocal about his support for the Bad Boy Records founder long before the sensational trial began, by defending his actions on social media and even launching t-shirts that read “Sean John” on them in February of 2025.
Diddy is currently under custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, as he faces federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.
