King Charles has shared another rare update on his health as he continues cancer treatment, offering a hopeful message during a heartfelt exchange with a fellow cancer survivor in Bradford.

During a royal away day on Thursday, the 76-year-old monarch and Queen Camilla stopped by Impact Hub Bradford, where the King met local entrepreneurs and community changemakers.

Among them was Safeena Khan, a floristry business owner and cancer survivor.

According to GB News, Khan presented the King with a floral bouquet inspired by his beloved Highgrove gardens, and their chat quickly turned personal.

When asked how he was feeling, Charles reportedly gave a thumbs up and replied with a touching answer: “I’d like to think I’m on the better side.”

Khan described the moment as "a lovely conversation" and said the monarch was genuinely engaged and warm.

This marks the second time this week Charles has addressed his cancer battle.

Earlier at a Buckingham Palace garden party, the King spoke with Stamford Collis, a university student also undergoing cancer treatment, and shared his thoughts on managing health through diet.

“It’s sometimes about the diet and what you eat. It can help,” the monarch told him.

What has King Charles been diagnosed with?

King Charles was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February 2024 and has been undergoing regular treatment ever since.

After initially postponing public-facing duties for nearly 12 weeks, the monarch resumed a full schedule of engagements, including a demanding tour of Australia and Samoa.

Despite the brief hospital visit, a royal source indicated that King Charles’ treatment remains on track and that his planned state visit to Italy next month is still expected to proceed.
