Megan Thee Stallion debunked rumours about her being banned from the prestigious event after she broke a major rule this year.
The Savage singer had posted clips of her hanging out with the Woman’s National Basketball Association star Angel Reese and fellow rapper Doechii from inside the museum this year, which is explicitly stated as not being allowed.
This incident lead fans to speculate that the 30-year-old will probably be banned from attending fashion’s biggest night in the following years.
Megan shut down the gossip in an interview with People magazine on May 13, stating, "No. We're gonna dead these rumors right now, OK? People are like, 'Oh my God, Megan, you got banned from the Met Gala. No, I didn't, babe. Like that's not true."
She then went on to note, “Y'all made that up and ran with it. They love making [stuff up]. Anna [Wintour] loves me, babe. That's why my phone was out."
The videos in question were posted to the three-time Grammy winner’s Instagram page, in which she acknowledged the fact that she was not supposed to be filming but was doing it anyway.
Notably, the rule was also violated by the Hollywood actress, Laura Harrier, who posted a star-studded selfie.
The image, taken by Laura, 35, was a bathroom selfie which featured Keith Powers, Brian Tyree Henry, Monica Barbaro, Quinta Brunson and Andrew Scott among many others.
