Blake Lively faces backlash after making major claim

Blake Lively, who is embroiled in legal crossfire with Justin Baldoni, faced harsh criticism after she made a big claim about her project.

The 37-year-old actress was on cloud nine after her new movie with Anna Kendrick Another Simple Favor ranked number one on Prime Video.

The Savages star, overwhelmed by her achievement, turned to Instagram to celebrate the milestone, raising “a martini glass” for the film.

However, her fans and followers were not amused by the announcement as they called the motion picture a “train wreck” and “embarrassing.”

One user thought that the plot was “gross” and the ensemble acted “terribly.”

Another admirer reminded the Gossip Girl star: “Don’t fool yourself Blake. If people watch it is thanks to Anna Kendrick.” 

Many applauded the appearance of the 39-year-old actress while calling the Green Lantern actress “boring.”

The post featured Blake and Anna looking at each other with a declaration in the caption: “Another Simple Favor is the #1 Movie Worldwide on Prime Video.”

This came a day after the mother-of-four made first appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers since the on-set of her legal crossfire with Justin Baldoni.

The It Ends With Us lead felt uncomfortable on the set of the romantic drama and decided to file a sexual harassment case against her director and co-star.

The filmmaker denied the allegations and sued the actress and her husband Ryan Reynolds in a $400 million defamation suit.

Justin also alleged that the Reynolds couple and Taylor Swift, who is Blake Lively’s close friend, pressurised him to make significant changes to the script, specifically the rooftop scene.
