Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be putting on a united front, but behind the scenes, a royal expert claims the couple are teetering on a breaking point and warns that it might not end well for the duke.

Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, veteran royal biographer Hugo Vickers didn’t hold back, claiming the Sussexes have been living in a constant state of crisis since stepping down as senior royals in 2020.

“They’re always at a crisis point,” Vickers said. “Because they’ve left the Royal Family.”

According to Vickers, the couple’s shift from royal duty to celebrity hustle has left them scrambling to reinvent themselves over and over again, a lifestyle he suggests is emotionally unsustainable.

“The Royal Family work for the UK and the Commonwealth. But Harry and Meghan have taken the celebrity route which means they have to completely reinvent themselves all the time to stay relevant.”

And in a jaw-dropping prediction, Vickers added: “I have a feeling this story is going to end badly, certainly for Prince Harry.”

He pointed to Meghan’s alleged history of cutting ties, from her estranged father Thomas Markle, to ex-husband Trevor Engelson, to former best friend Jessica Mulroney and, of course, the entire British Royal Family.

But the Sussexes aren’t echoing that sentiment. If anything, they’re projecting the happiest chapter of their lives.

Meghan Markle's praise for Harry at the TIME100 Summit

This week, Meghan told the audience at the TIME100 Summit in New York that she was “grateful” and “happy” giving a rare insight into her private world with Harry and their kids, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

“To have a husband and a partner who is so supportive, and kids who are healthy and happy... I never imagined at this point I would feel so happy and grateful,” she said, beaming.

Harry has also praised their life in California, saying he finally feels like he’s building the life his late mother Princess Diana would have wanted for him.
